NAGC works to support those who enhance the growth and development of gifted and talented children through education, advocacy, community building, and research
The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) today announced Bronwyn MacFarlane will receive the 2018 NAGC Early Leader Award at the NAGC 65th Annual Convention in Minneapolis, MN, November 15-18, 2018.
“The awards program shines a light on those who are making a difference in supporting gifted children as they reach to achieve their personal best,” said M. René Islas, NAGC Executive Director “Dr. MacFarlane is an accomplished author and speaker who is guiding work at the local, state, and national level.”
Dr. MacFarlane, Professor of Gifted Education in the Department of Educational Leadership and Teacher Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, teaches graduate courses in educational leadership and gifted education. She has exhibited a high and consistent degree of leadership in the gifted education field since receiving her doctorate. Dr. MacFarlane is currently chair of the NAGC STEM Network.
