Angela M. Housand, Ph.D. is an associate professor and Coordinator of the Academically and Intellectually Gifted Graduate Programs at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Dr. Housand is also recipient of the Discere Aude Award for outstanding teaching and mentoring at UNCW. Her work supports educators as they expand resources and opportunities for gifted individuals to deeply explore their interests, passions, and talent areas. This work is part of a larger effort to ensure the development of personal identity alongside talent in gifted children so that they may enjoy and share their talents for the benefit of self as well as humanity.
