NAGC works to support those who enhance the growth and development of gifted and talented children through education, advocacy, community building, and research
The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) today announced F. Richard Olenchak will receive the 2018 NAGC Distinguished Service Award at the NAGC 65th Annual Convention in Minneapolis, MN, November 15-18, 2018.
“The awards program shines a light on those who are making a difference in supporting gifted children as they reach to achieve their personal best,” said M. René Islas, NAGC Executive Director. “Dr. Olenchak’s contributions to the field over his celebrated career are countless.”
Dr. Olenchak, professor and department head, Education Studies, at Purdue University, has made the most significant contribution to the field of gifted education through a long and fruitful association with NAGC. He is a past president of the organization.
