Network Awards

Several Networks have award programs to highlight people and or programs that advance the mission of the Network. These awards provide an opportunity for the winners to become part of the Network community and for their work to be noticed by colleagues.

• Creativity Network

The E. Paul Torrance Creativity Award is presented to people or organizations who have expanded knowledge of or opportunities for creativity, especially among gifted children.  Deadline April 15

• Curriculum Studies Network

The Curriculum Studies Network recognizes high-quality curriculum with appropriate challenge for gifted students with the Curriculum Award.  Deadline June 1

• Early Childhood Network

The Network seeks article outlines, with the article appearing in the Early Childhood newsletter, from those valued practitioners who have daily contact with young gifted children.The winner receives an Early Childhood Convention Grant to cover half of the cost of an NAGC Convention registration.  Deadline August 30

• Global Awareness Network

The Global Awareness Annemarie Roeper Award recognizes an individual and group that continues the work of Annemarie Roeper. The nomination deadline is August 1.

• Professional Development Network

Professional Development Award provides an opportunity for outstanding professional development on gifted education at any level – Prek-12 and higher education.  Deadline August 1

• Research & Evaluation Network

Dissertation Award Competition – for those who have defended his or her dissertation related to gifted students during the current year.  Deadline March 25

Graduate Student Research Gala – provides graduate students the opportunity to receive valuable feedback on their research in gifted education. Deadline July 1

• Special Population Network

The Network's Dr. Alexinia Baldwin Gifted AND_____ Award recognizes 1-2 individuals who have contributed to the mission of Special Populations, advanced the recognition of the talents and abilities of special populations, and have had an impact among gifted children from special populations. Nominations open April 15. The Deadline to submit is September 1 at 5:00 PM.

Dr. Martin D. Jenkins Scholar Award is named in honor of Dr. Jenkins, father of reasearch on gifted Blacks, and is designed to honor the achievments of highly gifted Black students who excel academically. Nominations open April 15. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, September 27, 5:00 PM.
